Accountant
We are a leading multinational company in the forwarder business, providing exceptional services to our customers worldwide.
To support our ambitious growth and expansion plans, we are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Accountant in Ho Chi Minh city Vietnam .
As an accountant you will perform financial functions and helps our businesses to make financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting, and communicating the financial position of the respective entity within Atlantic Forwarding Group. This role records transactions, compiles and analyzes data, performs audits, assists with budgets and financial forecasting, computes taxes, and reports their findings to management and other entities, such as tax offices, authorities or our shareholder.
In this role, you will be entrusted with the following key tasks and responsibilities:
- Complying with all HQ, company, local, governmental, and other accounting, and financial regulations.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Reconciling accounts to report variances or deviations.
- Reviewing shipment job costing and reporting for deviations
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, periodical statements for local authorities (e.g., VAT) etc.
- Issuing or supporting the month-end close process including reporting to HQ.
- Presenting data to managers, shareholder, and other entities
- Maintaining accurate financial records and run accurate and timely registration of all business transaction and reconciliation to the financial statements.
- Performing audits and resolving discrepancies.
- Running accounts receivable collection and accounts payable payment.
- Computing Taxes, Communicating and liaising with banks, customers and vendors
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts
The ideal candidate, which could be you, would bring the following skills and experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting field.
- Successful career track record as accountant or similar role
- Sound experience with local GAAP
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- A flair for working with numbers, combined with the necessary precision and accuracy.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to identify any problems and to support for solutions.
- Ability to work efficiently as team player, hands-on and do-er mentality
